MEMBERSHIP GROWTH

Upon taking office, David encountered a backlog of prospective members for Local 720, compounded by inconsistent information regarding the membership process. A key project involved developing a standardized application form that provides the Executive Board with the necessary information to approve candidates for advancement in the membership process. Significant effort was dedicated to realigning the membership process with the Constitution and Bylaws, with the aim of establishing a clear and transparent pathway to membership.

This streamlined pathway has enabled Local 720 to deliver a unified message on how workers can transition from being a referent to a full member of Local 720. David is proud that these efforts have contributed to a growth of over 450 new members in Local 720 over the past three years.
