INSURANCE COVERAGE

For many years, Local 720 relied on the same insurance broker for its various policies. David identified that this broker was not adequately meeting the Local's needs and was reluctant to review existing coverage. In response, he sought and found a new insurance broker who was willing to conduct a comprehensive review of all policies and compare them against the Local's specific coverage requirements.

Working collaboratively with the new broker, David facilitated a full audit of the insurance policies. Together, they presented several options for the Executive Board's consideration, highlighting shortcomings in the existing policies. This process empowered the Board to address these deficiencies and select from the improved coverage options offered by the new broker. Through David's efforts, the Board gained awareness of better coverage alternatives, including new coverage with a cyber policy.
