Another advantage of transitioning away from the current version of QuickBooks is the potential to replace the existing financial servers with more cost-effective Network Attached Storage ( NAS ) devices. These units offer a significantly more economical solution for data storage compared to traditional servers, which is essential given the substantial amount of data Local 720 requires to operate. The proposal David is developing with our IT Vendor, to be presented at the appropriate time, involves replacing aging, underutilized servers with less expensive NAS units capable of storing more data at a much lower cost. This upgrade is contingent upon Local 720 moving away from the current accounting system, as previously discussed.
